While we all experience traumatic events in life, some are difficult to process alone. Trauma is an experience or event that causes physical or psychological overwhelm, leaving the person with ongoing symptoms.

It is common for people who have been through traumatic experiences to turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as self-medication with alcohol or drugs, to avoid the ongoing symptoms and negative feelings.

I use specialized therapy techniques to help individuals understand, cope and heal their trauma. Some of these specialized trauma techniques that I have specialized training in are EMDR and Psychodrama.

Working through past trauma, although challenging at times, helps individuals find greater clarity and peace in their present and future lives.
