PSYCHOdrama
I am trained in Psychodrama, which I refer to as “therapy in Action”. Psychodrama is a powerful therapy method that allows clients to explore their histories more deeply and work to resolve issues more quickly by putting abstract concepts (like feelings, binds, patterns, etc) into symbolic visuals.
I combine my own skills with psychodramatic techniques to enhance the therapy process facilitating insight, personal growth, and integration on cognitive, affective, and behavioral levels creating a greater level of emotional well-being.
Psychodrama is a time tested technique, since 1921, developed by Jacob L. Moreno, for moving through emotional blocks and increasing self-awareness by means of action and creativity. Psychodrama emphasizes creativity and spontaneity rather than illness and pathology.
Psychodrama offers techniques for helping you gain insight, by clarifying issues when talking and thinking just aren’t enough.
These techniques can help you get out of your head where you may be stuck in patterns of thinking and behaving. It helps clients move from “talking about” into action, where opportunities arise to heal the past, clarify the present and imagine the future.
