Hi There

I am Elizabeth Martin, LCSW, LCDC. Congratulations on taking the first step towards making changes in your life! The decision to seek therapy services can be difficult and requires a huge amount of courage. I have the utmost admiration and respect for those who commit to this process and feel privileged to participate in the healing process.

My mission is to help people find more balance and peace in their lives by helping them to find the courage to let go of ineffective and unconscious reactive cycles in order to take charge of the things they can, thus controlling their own personal chaos.I help people improve their emotional well being and enhance their ability to engage in healthy and healing relationships.

I help clients focus on personal responsibility vs. blame, choice vs. reaction, and health and wholeness vs. pathology and illness. I embrace the entirety of an individual’s experience; honoring the mind-body-spirit connection, helping clients to find their power and live in the peaceful state that freedom and balance offer.

How I work

I hold certifications in both Clinical Social Work and Chemical Dependency Counseling. I am a Trauma Therapist and specialize in Addictive Disorders, but I provide a wide range of psychological services for teens and adults. I offer individual, couple and family counseling in my Frisco, TX office, serving North Dallas and the surrounding areas.

I have worked in the field of addictions since I was an undergrad. In 1995, I received my Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University, New Orleans. After earning both licenses in 1998, I opened my private practice and have been treating clients in a private, clinical setting ever since.
